Western Traveler's PlaqueText Box:

†††† The purpose of this program is to promote visitation and friendly competition at the chapter level. Any and all chapter "participants" may participate in the capture of the Western Traveler Plaque.

     A minimum of
four (4) GWRRA members, representing their home chapter, is required to capture the Western Travelerís Plaque. All members, whether full, associate, or family, are eligible to count in the minimum of four participants. A District Staff member (maximum of 1) may stand in for you as a member; however, if the District Staff members are standing with their home chapter, there is no maximum.

Family members, whether full, associate or family, accompanying a GWRRA member to a gathering may be counted toward the minimum number of chapter members required for plaque capture eligibility. However, tickets for the drawing are only issued to the family's GWRRA member and 01 member (husband and wife OR wife and husband will each receive one (1) ticket).

Each member will be required to show the Chapter Director a current GWRRA membership card upon request; the plaque may be captured by automobile or motorcycle; there is no minimum mileage required; the winner of the plaque will be determined by a ticket drawing.
The chapter that has traveled the longest distance will receive one extra ticket.

The capturing Chapter Director is responsible for notifying the ADD Central, Libby Jennings (919-732-7961) or (919-291-1918) or by email to libbyjennings@yahoo.com within 24 hours of capture.

Within thirty five (35) days of capture, starting the day and hour captured, the capturing chapter must make the plaque available at their next monthly gathering or at their scheduled Chapter Special Event, whichever comes first. Once a chapter has captured the plaque, that chapter is not eligible to capture it at the next gathering or special event; however, if no other chapter is present to claim the plaque, then the previous chapter that held the plaque becomes eligible.† If the plaque remains at a chapter gathering for the second (2nd) month and there is no qualifying chapter to capture it, (which drops to three (3) members present) the Chapter Director is to have a drawing for all chapters attending to see who captures the plaque.

Please award the plaque within the first 15 minutes of the start of your gathering.

†††† The capturing chapter will attach a visitation bar to the Western Travelerís Plaque upon capture.

†††† In the month of November, the only chapters eligible to capture the plaque are those with a scheduled gathering in November after the date they capture the plaque.

††† Each time a chapter captures the plaque their chapter's name will go into a drawing for $100.00. The chapter capturing the plaque the most times will receive permanent possession of the plaque. Any ties will be decided by a drawing. The $100.00 and permanent possession of plaque will be given away at the 2018 North Carolina District Operations Meeting.

The inclusive dates for this program are from date of Operations Meeting to

November 30th of each year.

This Plaque retires on November 30th, 2018.

Please get Plaque to Libby Jennings as soon as possible after the deadline.
